Aji-Mallen Sanneh is a systems builder focused on leading durable, community-centered initiatives that strengthen resilience, dignity, and opportunity.
Over the past eighteen years, she has worked across more than 50 countries at the intersection of policy, institutional strategy, and large-scale implementation. Her leadership has spanned multilateral financing environments, professional institutions, and cross-sector partnerships, where she has mobilized capital, built enduring alliances, and supported initiatives serving underserved populations.
Aji’s work is grounded in a simple conviction: lasting impact requires more than programs. It requires structure. Across her career, she has built thoughtful models that align people, resources, and long-term vision. Her experience spans youth development, livelihood and production systems, and locally rooted enterprise-building, with a consistent focus on sustainability, access, and disciplined execution.
She is drawn to work that strengthens communities from within and ensures that the structures shaping opportunity are built to endure.
